How To Earn Money Online in Nepal?
Do you want to earn money online in Nepal? Do you hate having to work 9 to 5?
There are countless Nepalese youths that earn more than $1000 a month just by working online. I have many friends who don’t have an office job but earn more than them.
The number one obstacle, we Nepalese face here is the International Payment method. I already have a blog about it. Read our blog on PayPal in Nepal here.
Now that’s out of the way, let’s dive deeper on how you can earn money online in Nepal.
The most common method of earning money online in Nepal is through blogging. Owning a website was hard back in the day and only people with computer expertise could build one.
So how do you make money doing blogging?
The other way to get paid is by doing brand deals. If your website is popular enough, big brands will contact you to write and talk about their products.
The possibilities are endless. However, setting up and attracting a decent traffic to your blog might take some time.
The second way to earn money online in Nepal is through affiliate marketing.
Affiliate Marketing is where you promote the products and services of other businesses. You help them get sales and in exchange, you get a certain commission.
To my knowledge, most people in Nepal are earning through affiliate marketing, mostly through Clickbank. Since, it supports Payoneer mastercard (that most Nepalese use), it is a very popular source of online income.
If you do affiliate marketing right, you will earn money in your sleep. But, be aware of the product you are selling and be sure that it is a genuine product and not a scam.
Freelancing, this is how I got started. Since I didn’t want to get a job, I started offering my services to small and local businesses.
It was hard getting clients initially, since I had to experience and work to show. But if you’re persistent enough, you will land a client. I worked as a Freelance WordPress Developer.
I see lots of freelance graphic designers, coders and even lawyers. You don’t have to settle just for local clients. Once you have a portfolio, make a profile on sites like Fiverr, Upwork and Freelancer.
I agree, it is hard to get clients (if you’re new). But if you’re really patient and create an amazing profile, you will find freelancing jobs.
Social Media Marketing
Nepal is just experiencing a Social Media boom. Businesses have begun to show serious interest in platforms like Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. If you have a skill in Social Media Marketing and can help them grow their audience, this is the time.
I am sure, every business in Nepal is looking for a way to grow on social media to reach more people. If you reach out with a proper plan you will land a client.
You must provide both organic and paid services. Social Media Marketer is going to be a very valuable skill in near future.
Selling your own products
I’ve seen people selling “achaars” (home made pickle) online. Isn’t that brilliant?
I’m sure you’ve seen all kinds of ads on social media. Running and owning a business has never been easier. And through the help of social media, it is even more easier to have it seen by more people.
In addition, you don’t even need a website initially. You can setup a store on Facebook.
Start brainstorming, what can you sell?
At last, we have YouTube Adsense. You all might already know that YouTubers earn money through ads. Google places ads in between the videos which the creator gets paid for.
In order for your YouTube profile to be eligible for monetization, you need to have at least 1000 subscribers and have more that 4000 watch hours. However, this is not very hard to achieve if you create quality content.
Hence, these are some of the ways, people are earning money online in Nepal and how you can too.
Also, if you own a bike, being a Tootle or Pathao rider is not a bad idea. You earn a decent amount of money even if you work part-time.
